What is a bad Habit

A bad habit is something done on a regular basis, that is harmful, dangerous, and costly that becomes a pattern. A bad habit can also be anything that separates someone from their spiritual walk, or from their faith. It is important to realize that there is no judgement here, at breaking bad habits my number one purpose is to help others break bad habits and create good, positive, healthy habits. I am not coming against anyone, I love you all I just hate the evil things people say and do. It is important to break bad habits because everything someone does, says, sees, listens too, and thinks, can and will affect the whole world around them. What someone is thinking about all day can and will affect their day, so its important to think good things. How someone reacts to negative things happening in their life will affect them.

Understanding how to overcome bad habits is not the only thing it takes to quit them it also takes discipline. It takes discipline to do most important things in life, and without it there is no stability or structure. Discipline is the most important thing to posses when things go wrong, especially for someone that uses habits to deal with stress. My suggestion is to find healthy habits, that relieve stress. My favorite stress relieving habits are: art, writing, studying, cooking, outdoors, when its nice, playing sports, prayer, meditation. It is important to meditate on positive things. If someone is meditating and they keep thinking about negative things the whole time this can have a negative effect on things. I also love to sing positive songs to myself. There are many negative songs out today and if people would listen to the words of the music before they start singing it then they would realize they are cursing themselves. Remember even when someone is cursing someone else they are really, in turn, cursing themselves. This is because the energy that someone puts out in the world comes back to them. The Bible refers to this as you reap what you sow, but the world calls this karma.

I have had a hard time with complaining, because I know this causes bad things to happen. The strategy I have devised to defeat this habit is saying things I am thankful for before it happens. When someone says they are thankful for something before it happens, this is called affirmations or faith. I am going to affirm some things I am personally believing for here, but I encourage everyone that reads this to leave some affirmations here that they believe are coming in their life.




I am thankful for breaking bad habits and helping others to break bad habits. I am thankful for a new car, because I know that is something my family needs. I am thankful for the people in my life that speak the truth and for me to find the truth. I am thankful for a great job, because the one I work at will not be right for me much longer. I am thankful for all of my friends being delivered from everything they need to be free from. I am thankful for being debt free and not owing anyone anything. I thank you all for reading and look forward to believing with you all.


My name is James Carter, and you are visiting breaking bad habits. I believe everyone has habits, good and bad. When I was 34 years old, I woke up and looked in the mirror. I was shocked, I had been drinking every night for so long, that I was fat. I weighed 355 pounds, and ran out of breathe and almost passed out to try and tie my shoes. This was the day I started to wake up. I had a long journey ahead of me, but with prayer, meditation, fasting and exercise I was on my way. It’s been 6 years since then I’ve quit most of my bad habits, and I’m down to below 200 pounds. I have to be honest, that day in 2014 I never dreamed I would have gotten this far. If someone like me can quit, so can you.
