Faith over Fear

Its imperative to understand that when someone fills their mind with poison, it is going to have an affect. (Garbage in, garbage out) Think of it this way, if someone eats nothing but junk food their whole life, it will eventually make them unhealthy, and can even cause them to become ill. The same thing can be said for entertainment, if someone listens to vulgar music over and over for a long period of time it will make that person begin to say, and think vulgar things. What seeds is someone planting in their mind? When things are quiet what kind of thoughts run through their mind? Cast down the things that are not lining up with the life you want.

If someone plans to live a positive life it’s very difficult for them to make progress when they put their eyes and ears to negative influences. The enemy is the ruler of this world and controls most things on the television, internet, music, and games. When someone listens to music or watches television it can put them in a meditative state. This leaves them suceptible to outside influences. Someone should guard what they meditate on, because it leaves the mind open to be manipulated. I have personally dealt with this issue, because I’ve always loved watching movies. No matter how much, someone fights it, if they feed their spirit with garbage, then they will not see spiritual growth. They are actually feeding their fears if it does not line up with faith.

Fear is the opposite of faith, so is someone does not feed their faith, prayer meditation, fasting, bible study, then they are feeding fear instead of faith. The enemy will not rest because someone decides to skip prayer, this is when the enemy gains ground, and strikes. Feed your Faith, not your fear. The point is if someone is not constantly in prayer and seeking the Father, then the enemy is coming after them to steal their faith in any way possible. When someone focuses their free time on things of this world they feed their fear. When someone focuses on things from the Father they feed their faith. Focus on good positive things and practice feeding your faith.

My name is James Carter, and you are visiting breaking bad habits. I believe everyone has habits, good and bad. When I was 34 years old, I woke up and looked in the mirror. I was shocked, I had been drinking every night for so long, that I was fat. I weighed 355 pounds, and ran out of breathe and almost passed out to try and tie my shoes. This was the day I started to wake up. I had a long journey ahead of me, but with prayer, meditation, fasting and exercise I was on my way. It’s been 6 years since then I’ve quit most of my bad habits, and I’m down to below 200 pounds. I have to be honest, that day in 2014 I never dreamed I would have gotten this far. If someone like me can quit, so can you.
