I’m searching for wisdom yet claim that I have it. I do this because, I’ve begun to proclaim everything I want as though I have it, because I can see it. This practise is challenging, but I’m not giving up on me yet. I have my own back, or do I? This is a question that everyone struggles with daily. This is where, I want to stress, the importance of starting the day off right. Life is a battleground, so before you go out into the world, it’s important to suit up. Meditation, and prayer, is vital when preparing for the day. That’s it that’s the gotcha moment of the article. When someone wakes up in the morning, the first thing they do is, going to determine the day. Does this person grab their phone first or does this person meditate. The worst thing to do in the morning is grabbing the phone or turning on the television. I could go on but that is another article. The point of this article is what are you feeding your soul in the morning. The negativity of the world, will start the day wrong, and noone even realizes it, because we can’t see energy. The beauty of it is if someone starts the day off right, by prayer and meditation the whole day will be easier and more positive. Spiritual growth is something most do not speak of because it’s not a comfortable subject. I deal with this on a daily basis and have to remember to not grab my phone first thing in the morning. Im just as guilty as anyone else and this article is for myself today, I don’t know if this applies to anyone else?

My name is James Carter, and you are visiting breaking bad habits. I believe everyone has habits, good and bad. When I was 34 years old, I woke up and looked in the mirror. I was shocked, I had been drinking every night for so long, that I was fat. I weighed 355 pounds, and ran out of breathe and almost passed out to try and tie my shoes. This was the day I started to wake up. I had a long journey ahead of me, but with prayer, meditation, fasting and exercise I was on my way. It’s been 6 years since then I’ve quit most of my bad habits, and I’m down to below 200 pounds. I have to be honest, that day in 2014 I never dreamed I would have gotten this far. If someone like me can quit, so can you. View All Posts
