A father is a gift, in every single way, and even though my father’s gone, I miss him every day. I think about the times we fought, and the times he was away. Even though my life’s been hard he taught me how to pray. I know we’ll meet again someday. even though we lost you, you taught me how to be a man, when life is getting really hard, you taught me how to stand. I pray to be the person, that you’ve always taught me to be. Life is really harsh, and things have gotten bad, and when I think about it, I can’t help but feel sad. I know your in a better place, and all your pain is through. For this I have to celebrate, I couldn’t ask for a better dad than you.

What a great tribute to your Dad! My dad is still alive, thankfully, so I did not post about him on Father’s Day to preserve his privacy but I did post about some great dads of history. Truly, having a dad around is very impactful.
